Saturday
8:00am Mysore Practice at Sherwood Queenstown - Katie
Mysore-style classes, students practice the Ashtanga sequence individually and at their own pace, an instructor moves around the room and works with students, one on one. Students are welcome to arrive and begin their practice up to 15 minutes before scheduled mysore sessions and are free to arrive up to an hour before class ends. Beginners to Ashtanga yoga are also welcome to attend these times.
Led primary series classes, when an instructor guides the class through primary series collectively and at the same pace, students are encouraged to arrive and get settled prior to the scheduled start time. This is an intense session that builds endurance, strength and flexibility. This more of a modern style led class than a traditional counted led class.
Self Practice is essentially when you are practicing with your peers for motivation, take a cheat sheet with you if you need it. Often a teacher will be practicing in the room too and will be happy to help out where you need it.
Beginners Ashtanga Class is a 1 hour class, with modifications and resting poses for the new beginner.
Private Lessons available upon request.
Price per class in studio $20 or 10 class pass $150
